This page says clearly, in one place, who we are, who we are not, and where our practice material comes from.

The short version

MechanicalAptitudeTest.org is an independent test-preparation provider. Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test™ and BMCT™ are trademarks of NCS Pearson, Inc. Ramsay MAT™, MecTest™, and MultiCrafTest™ are trademarks of Ramsay Corporation. Wiesen Test of Mechanical Aptitude™ (WTMA™) is administered by Criteria Corp. EIAT™ is administered by the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP). IBEW® is a registered trademark of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; the Electrical Training Alliance Aptitude Test is owned by the Electrical Training Alliance. CAST™, MASS™, POSS™ and TECH™ are property of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). ASVAB is a program of the U.S. Department of Defense. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners, none of which is affiliated with, sponsors, or endorses MechanicalAptitudeTest.org. Our practice materials are original works created to simulate the style, format, and difficulty of these assessments; they do not contain actual test questions.

Who owns which test

The assessments our materials simulate are owned or administered by the following organizations. None of them is affiliated with, sponsors, or endorses MechanicalAptitudeTest.org, and none has reviewed or approved our materials:

  • Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test™ (BMCT™) — trademark of NCS Pearson, Inc.
  • Ramsay MAT™, MecTest™, and MultiCrafTest™ — trademarks of Ramsay Corporation.
  • Wiesen Test of Mechanical Aptitude™ (WTMA™) — administered by Criteria Corp.
  • EIAT™ (Elevator Industry Aptitude Test) — administered by the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP).
  • IBEW® — registered trademark of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. The Electrical Training Alliance Aptitude Test is owned by the Electrical Training Alliance.
  • CAST™, MASS™, POSS™, and TECH™ — property of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI).
  • ASVAB — a program of the U.S. Department of Defense.

We use these names only in the way an independent tutor would: to tell you which test a given practice track is designed to help you prepare for. Our use of the names does not imply any connection with their owners.

Every question on this site is original

All of our practice questions, explanations, and diagrams are original works, written and drawn by us and protected by copyright. Specifically:

  • Our materials do not contain actual test questions from any assessment, past or present.
  • They are never sourced from test-taker recall (“brain dumps”), leaked content, or copied from any exam or any other prep provider.
  • They are built from publicly available information about each test’s format: its question count, time limit, question styles, and subject areas.
  • Sample questions on this site are labeled as what they are: simulated, style-matched practice questions — not actual test content.

If you ever find a question of ours that appears to overlap with actual test content, tell us at [email protected] — we will investigate and remove it. Protecting the integrity of these exams matters to us too.

What practice can do — and what it can’t

Format-matched practice builds familiarity: you learn the question styles, the pacing, and the underlying mechanical concepts, so nothing on test day is a surprise. That’s what we sell, and it’s all we claim.

  • We do not guarantee that you will pass any test, achieve any score, get hired, or be accepted into any apprenticeship.
  • Scores on our practice simulations are not predictions of your score on the real exam.
  • Our 30-day money-back guarantee is a promise about your purchase, not about your exam outcome.

For trademark owners
