The problem
You are given the problem below. The question is as follows:
If the switch S2 is closed and switch S1 remains open, what lights will turn on?

The Answer
The correct answer is #3, none. The reason why no light is on is because S1 prevents any current from flowing in the circuit. Therefore, there is no light that will turn on.
