Today we will be covering gears with no belt.
The Problem
You are given the problem below. The question is as follows:
If gear A is turning in the clockwise direction, in what direction will gear B be turning?

The Answer
The correct answer is counterclockwise. If gear A runs in the clockwise position, the gear next to it runs in the opposite direction and so on. So taking this into account, by having 4 gears, gear B runs in the opposite direction of gear A.
